"We began working with William just before the spring of 2016 to sell our home, and we couldn't have been more pleased! William immediately brought in a contractor to make needed repairs and minor upgrades to our home, which helped make it more appealing to a larger group of potential buyers. He also brought in a fabulous photographer to showcase our home online, which I believe created more foot traffic and brought in serious buyers. Since we were no longer in the local area, it was critical to have an agent who would oversee all work and general upkeep of the property. William excelled in both areas. Karen Lewis first moved to Carmel in 1987 from my home on the south coast of England and fell in love with the natural beauty of the area. She met her husband in 1991, a local businessman, who has owned many successful businesses in the area. After spending some time away, first in Barcelona, Spain, where she became internationally known for her inspirational jewelry designs, then to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she immersed myself in the local art market. Karen and her husband returned to Carmel in 2009 and she began her real estate career in 2011. She joined the The William Smith luxury Group in 2019, and added a high energy level, a love of people, an am passionate about the prospects and potential of real estate in our area

Having opened his first real estate office in 1990, William and his wife, Loretta were the owner/brokers of the two Prudential California Realty Offices in Carmel and Monterey. He was one of the more accomplished Realtors in the Prudential Real Estate Network and was ranked #2 selling agent in Northern California and #11 internationally. In 2006 they sold the real estate businesses and joined Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, dba: Coldwell Banker Del Monte Realty. William’s sold listings include Monterey’s historic Marsh Asian Art Building, the legendary 392-acre Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley, and Quail Creek Ranch in Salinas. Loretta, a retired real estate attorney, oversees the administration aspects of the Team business.
